A New Beginning – How Tosia Joined Our Yorkshire Terrier Family

After Max, I knew there was room in our hearts — and our home — for one more. This time, I finally let myself dream out loud: I had always wanted a little girl.

Finally, a Little Girl

The decision came together faster than I expected. Once we made up our minds, everything just fell into place, and soon a tiny silver girl was on her way into our lives. I waited six long weeks for her, counting down the days.

When I finally met her for the first time, she was impossibly small — and I fell in love instantly. Max, ever the gentleman, welcomed her without any fuss, and just like that, our family of two became a family of three.

Two Dogs, Double the Trouble

Of course, a new puppy meant starting from scratch: house training, routines, and trying to balance it all with work. It was not always easy juggling a job with a household that suddenly had two dogs in it instead of one.

Left home together during the day, Max and Tosia turned mischief into an art form. We never knew quite what “surprise” would be waiting for us when we walked through the door — a puddle on the floor, or a roll of toilet paper unravelled from one end of the hallway to the other. 🐾

The Boss of the House

Tosia may be small, but do not let her size fool you — she has always been the true boss of our home. One bark from her and the whole household springs into action. She rules with quiet confidence, and everyone, dogs included, knows exactly who is really in charge.

Today Tosia is six years old, completely silver, with a coat that shifts beautifully with the seasons — her head turning a soft, powdery grey in winter while her body deepens into a smoky blue. She carries herself now like a proper little old lady, even if her boss-of-the-house spirit has never once softened. ❤️

Looking back, it is hard to imagine Colourful Yorkies Life without her. Tosia did not just join our family — she took it over, one confident little bark at a time.
